James grew up playing basketball for St. Vincent-St. Mary High School in their location that is in Akron Ohio. He has been heavily touted as a future NBA superstar in national media. From prep to pro, he was drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers with the first overall pick in the 2003 NBA draft.Named  NBA Rookie of the Year in 2004 he quickly established himself as one of the league's top players, winning  NBA MVP awards in 2009 and 2010 and leading the Cavaliers to their first NBA Finals  in 2007.[4] After failing to win a championship with Cleveland, James left  as a free agent in 2010 to join the Miami Heat.
